Swedish clogs
oil on gessoboard 6"x6"
I loved wearing these shoes, long ago -I guess, in years 70-. It was just before the platform shoes (it made you 10cm , at least ,higher) and bell-bottom trousers ...
I love seeing clogs as your subject, Sylviane! I still wear them daily except in summer. I send them to a clog cobbler in NH when the soles wear out and he makes them look brand new again. You've captured their personalities perfectly!
I never wore clogs, but all three of my daughters did. Yep they wore them with bell bottoms. I'm so tall with a corresponding shoe size, I thought clogs made my feet look enormous. Sort of like Minnie Mouse.

ReplyDeleteI love your shoes too. I wore some great red ones and I wish I'd never done away with them. Your painting is great. Thanks for sharing with us.
