Pinocchio dans la rue

Ce grand pantin de bois trônait sur son banc , calle Sierpes,  à Séville. J'ai voulu le peindre  "à la
manière de" comme le demandait Jo, pour le challenge de Dpw, cette semaine. J'ai choisi Carolee Clark Clark, dont j'admire les couleurs franches et les patchworks amusants. Au départ, le mur du
fond  á   droite était composé de spirales de diverses couleurs. J'ai préféré le remplacer par des éléments qui peuvent rappeler Carolee. J'ai laissé la vitrine du magasin dans le flou, au lieu d'une mosaïque de petits carreaux, qui ne rimaient à rien. Et j'ai dû arrêter lá, car mon support n'aurait pas supporté une couche supplémentaire...

Here is this big wood Pinocchio puppet which standed in calle Sierpes, in Sevilla.
I painted it for DPW, we were asked to paint something "as someone of DPW". I chose Carolee Clark, I am not sure she would be pleased with that. I like her colorful style with a lot of  spirals and mosaics of different shapes. I started to paint that on the back wall, on the right side. I thought after a night it would be wise to change it. Copying  a painting is a thing, but creating your own image as someone else, is another thing!

Antonio Sosa à Séville

De retour de Séville, je voulais montrer quelques dessins d'Antonio Sosa, un des principaux représentants de l'art andalou contemporain, qui exposait  à la Casa de la Provincia. Ce travail de 10 ans, 2002-2012, est constitué de 28 dessins de grand format, et 50 de petit format.
Dessins teintés d'aquarelle et d'encre, composés d'un labyrinthe de spirales, lignes et chemins traduisent les émotions internes de l'artiste. J'ai beaucoup apprécié cette oeuvre d'une grande sensibilté.

Just coming back from Sévilla, I wanted to show a few drawings of Antonio Sosa, one of the main representatives of Andaluz contemporary art.
He showed during  January 28 big size drawings and 50 small ones.These works, tinted with watercolors and ink, are a labyrinth of spirales, lines and paths, representing his inner emotions. I appreciated very much this sensitive work.

Pintando en Pedrera, is the title of the exhibition we watched this morning, in Sévilla, with 2 talented painters, Libéra Angel Guillèn and José Ramón Ramos Gómez-It is the last day of the exhibition, the painters were not there,and I have to say it's hard to find them on Internet, several people with those same names live in this world!Anyway, I liked this pantings.
