  1. Very nice. She puts me in the mind of a flower. Perhaps, Lotus?

    1. Renate, thank you for all the comments you have left on my posts.
Unfortunately, last time I went on you blog, the whole writing was in your native language, I did not even find the translator, so I quit without a word, sorry!

  5. Magnifiques tes dernières peintures et quelle productivité ! Ce visage me fait penser à une belle Geischa. Ce qui est merveilleux avec tous ces visages c'est qu'il vous emmènent vers une histoire...

  6. She's beautiful, Sylviane. You really captured the expressiveness of her pose. Well done!

Also, I wanted to thank you for your sweet comment on my last painting. I did see your question regarding ellipses, and there is a little trick that I use. I sketch the plates on my canvas as rectangles. Once the dimensions are drawn correctly, I find the center point of the rectangle, and I dissect it half both horizontally and vertically. From there, I sketch the top half of the ellipse. Once complete, I draw the bottom half. If you make the top and bottom identical -- and also the right and left sides -- your ellipse should be correct. It is simple to do, but rather difficult to explain in words. Does that help any?

  8. Sylviane, you are so productive! This well done painting reminds me of the Chinese actress named Zhang Zi Yi, is that her that you tried to paint? Et pour le titre, pourquoi pas "Asian Beauty"? :-)
