oil on oil paper 5"x7"
This was done for DPW challenge this week, after a picture given by Jean Nelson, who painted a lovely one.
After an underpainting in Alizarin, I used mainly one flat brush, and ended with a knife.

  1. Une petite maison dans une belle atmosphère et si bien interprétée avec de couleurs.
    Gros bisous

  2. Excellent interpretation, Sylviane! I went to the DPW website and looked at the original photo. I like the way you made it your own painting. I love the soft blues in the sky and water and repeated on the roof of the mill. Very nice!

  3. I've enjoyed catching up with your blog, Sylviane! Pleased to see that you liked Sevilla . . . my daughter studied there for a semester and, of course, I had to visit . . . loved it! It's good to see all the work you've done!

  4. Great job w. the reflections on the roof.

  5. Bonjour, ahh the nuns should be proud of you :)

I love your work, you are a true colourist, your paintings sing, the colours vibrate, I know how a bee feels now when it sees a beautiful flower...

I have linked to your site so hopefully I will get to visit your wonderful work more often :)

I have been trying to get here for a week Ugh :(

    see you!!!

  6. Thank you so much for all of you, you are so cheerful, I am confused with your compliments, and my day's color was completely changed!
    You can come back!
