DSFDF

oil on Yupo  6x8in 15x20cm
This is the portrait I’ve painted for DSFDFswap challenge.
The beginning was hard, I had as a support only a small picture.
After tries and tries, I reached a  point of reasonable satisfaction, and I am aware that I’ve learned a lot by persisting;; however I would have liked to improve it, to go on by looking for the very right expression.
But a few previous desatrous attempts taught me that it would be more prudent to  stop!So I did…

  3. Beautiful portrait, Sylviane! The background is handled so wonderfully, and it makes your subject the 'star' of this lovely painting. She has to be thrilled!

  8. Thanks for the comment you left on my blog. Wow, I didn't know we had anyone as far away as France participating. That's wonderful. Also, I like your painting very much and had no idea you could paint oil on Yupo! I've tried watercolor, but never oils. Now you have my curiosity up. I go to Europe every year with a group of painting buddies. We went to France 3 years ago, and Italy the past 2 years. Just love it over there.
    All the best,

It is different people that help him cook. I think you can email and get on a waiting list if it is booked up. People cancel so I think it is not too hard to get a place. I look forward to hearing your experience!
